About Salem
You’ve made it this far—thank you! My name is Salem Peters. My name means “peace”, which growing up I always thought God was playing a joke on me because I never had peace. It wasn’t until I was 20 years old that God met me in my brokenness and began to lead me to Him. Now, everything I do is for Him.
I am a native of Kentucky and currently live in central Florida. I grew up surrounded by painting, music, cooking, and many other creative activities in my home. Early on I was exposed to the arts, and loved the story creativity could tell. I later won a scholarship competition to the Art Academy of Cincinnati for fine art. It was there that I discovered photography. I also got my BFA in Graphic Design from Eastern Kentucky University where I graduated on the President’s List with a 4.0 GPA. I began running my own successful wedding photography business and continued to hone my creative skills. Over time, I had an epiphany: In design, I can bring all my creative experience into one place.
I also went to ministry school where I was privileged to experience various cultures and people groups. I went on several mission trips to China, Japan, and various other places in the USA. I discovered I love sharing about Jesus and helping others experience Him.
I love helping and encouraging people. No matter how that looks, that’s what I know I’m to work hard towards.
When I am not designing, writing, or sharing about Jesus, I am probably hiking or browsing a bookstore with my gorgeous Colombian wife and our dog Mia, hunting down my next cup of coffee, or trying to make people laugh. Let's get to work!
